Necro Dice represents a contemporary iteration of this age-old ritual. This innovative app merges ancient and modern communication techniques in a novel way. Through a simple tap on the screen, users can seek answers or messages by rolling the dice. As the user sets their intention by casting the dice, spirits are believed to influence the random alignment of letters to convey words. This phenomenon of spirit interaction via electronic devices has been extensively documented for decades.

Necro Dice operates by generating multiple dice, each assigned random letters on its faces. These dice undergo simulation using an advanced physics engine that accounts for collisions between dice and with the surface. After the simulation concludes and the dice settle, a group of letters is displayed on the top face of each die. Typically, users must manually inspect the letters to decipher words. However, this app employs a unique algorithm to automatically analyze the letters and match potential words or names from a built-in dictionary. The selection process considers various factors such as proximity, length, position, and relevance to determine the most likely word. Upon identifying a word within the dice letters, the app highlights individual characters and showcases the word on the screen. A log of all generated words can be accessed by pressing the button at the lower left corner of the interface.
